Malia Cox Nobrega is a luxury real estate advisor, real estate investor, and development strategist. She serves as the real estate advisor, manager, and an investor with Mexamer Real Estate, where she is actively involved from acquisition through design, construction, and strategic market positioning.

Raised in the Vail Valley, Malia attended elementary school through high school locally and remains deeply rooted in its communities. Her longstanding relationships extend across the Vail Valley, including the areas of Vail, Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, and Edwards, and their distinct neighborhoods. That generational connection provides her clients with a level of local insight, historical perspective, and access that cannot be replicated.

From Law and Property Management to Luxury Real Estate
She earned a business degree with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder before graduating near the top of her class at the University of Denver College of Law, finishing 6th out of 254 students. Although she maintains her Colorado law license, Malia chose to build her career in real estate when she and her husband acquired her family’s property management company in 2004.

Owning and operating the company immersed her in the operational and financial stewardship of high-value properties. She developed firsthand experience in asset management, rental strategy, construction oversight, and long-term capital planning. After selling the company in 2014, she transitioned to full-time luxury real estate sales, while her husband focused on general contracting and high-end residential development. Together, their combined expertise in management and construction continues to inform the strategic counsel she provides today.

Malia quickly established herself within the luxury sector. In 2015, she was named Outstanding Rookie by Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate. Since then, her production has consistently placed her among the top agents in the Vail Valley. She has risen to become the #1-producing real estate agent in the Vail Valley, including the Vail and Beaver Creek Resort areas, and ranks among the top agents in Colorado and nationally. She has also been recognized as a Top 100 Sotheby’s International Realty advisor worldwide.

Her production consistently places her among the top few agents in the Vail Valley, with particular strength in the luxury markets of Vail, Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, and Edwards. Her representation of premier estates, ski-in residences, and high-end new construction has positioned her among the top-tier advisors serving the region’s most significant properties.
Her career includes multiple record-setting achievements, including achieving the highest residential sales price in Edwards, Colorado. She later surpassed that record with a $40 million transaction, representing both the buyer and the seller, which was also the highest residential sale in the Vail Valley in 2022.
